There’s a thought that has really been wrecking me this week–

in life, we don’t climb mountains so that the world sees us when we reach the top…
we climb mountains so that when we reach the summit– we can see the world.

and it has me thinking so much on the heart motive behind why we do things– actions only show so much. It’s really the heart + posture behind them that matter.

it’s such a beautiful heart + head space to live in a place of freedom + faithfulness.
living, not for the applause of multitude, but for the honor of the one or few daily in front of you.

loving the one.
not appeasing the masses.

it doesn’t really matter what mountain, or what valley, we find ourself on.
what matters is who we are walking through it all with.
