It didn’t surprise us one bit that Carly&Mike’s wedding at the Landing 1841 was incredible and flawless down to the very last minute and detail. Every bit of planning and preparation that went into it was intentional. It was beautifully said about Carly throughout the day that she’s the type of person that believes if something is worth doing then it’s worth doing well and whole-heartedly. Even in the midst of SO much going on (the week of their wedding Mike was ordained and commissioned as a Chaplain in the U.S. Navy!!), the ease and peace that covered their day was palpable.
Everything so beautifully came together, even after threatening weather all week long the skies couldn’t have been more agreeable– that golden light, though!! ahhh!!!
Mike’s last name (and now Carly’s!!) is Spoke– and so their day perfectly played off it, from the invites, to the signs, to the wedding favors, to incorporating the bike from their engagement session. Carly requested “funky” and unique flowers for the bouquets and florals, and their florist did an amazing job having so much freedom in designing them! And, of course, Carly made a jaw-dropping bride in her dress!!!
The entire day was marked by joy unspeakable and love unbreakable. I’ll never forget watching the tears peacefully stream down the mother-of-the-bride’s face as she buttoned up Carly’s dress, how many friends and family members continually spoke the highest praises of Mike&Carly, and the holy hush mixed with laughter that covered their ceremony as they entered into covenant together.
There are hardly words for how much these two have worked their way into our hearts,
and we are incredibly grateful to have celebrated with them.
Enjoy this re-telling of their day.
