Sometimes life gifts you with the unexpected– like with sun&50 degrees in February in Eau Claire (we’re #5 for coldest cities in the U.S!!!). Or if you’re Katy, those unexpected gifts look like falling for the man you originally weren’t interested in when your friends tried to set you up, and then 7 years later– a dance in front the Christmas tree ending with something sparkly on your left ring finger! These two are proof that good things come to those who wait, and that if we surrender, He does far more than we could ever ask for or imagine.
My time with these two literally flew by– and they made it so easy. We spent the last couple of hours before sunset exploring in some patches of woods and down by the river (and then some cool buildings/arches!) and boy… was that golden, warm light a dream to have in the middle of the winter! Spring..is that you??!
I’m typically a big light&airy type of girl when it comes to photos, but I had a blast with the shadows and strong contrast in the ones by the green door! Always fun to step out of my norm:)
There’s such a fun diversity to their images–feels like multiple sessions all packed into one!!

Next time I see these two it will be June at The Enchanted Barn!! I can hardly wait!!
