Wow… where do I even begin with these two?
I’ve been just giddy about photographing them for monthssss now, and just knew that their session was going to be t0-die-for.
Carlee&Eric met in college and met over breakfasts with friends before class.
I’ve always been told that breakfast is the most important meal of the day– I’d venture to say that’s true, especially if it leads to this. :)
Now after years of dating, even long distance, and one snowy horse drawn carriage ride in December in Duluth where Eric asked Carlee to be his wife in front of the lake… here they are.
happily in love.
and making engagement look like a dream.
It was only fitting that we began their session over by campus and slowly made our way to some of the most beautiful places along the river. I just LOVE the diversity of their shots.. we were able to capture so many different gorgeous settings.
After a spontaneous stop along the way where the light was lighting up a field perfectly (probably my FAVORITE images from their session!!!) we made it to a local orchard farm where the frost had destroyed the apples — and we actually couldn’t even find the fruit trees… (we may have gotten lost wandering in the acres of stunning Wisconsin back country and hills). But those hill hikes did not leave us disappointed friends. We stumbled across an amazing tree standing all by it’s lone, and fields of cotton surrounded by the autumn foliage. We literally didn’t stop shooting until the sun said no more and tucked away behind the treeline.
It was amazing.incredible.stunning.inspiring.and one of my favorite sessions to date.
The way Carlee&Eric so naturally love and enjoy one another is a joy to capture… I think it’s pretty obvious that he makes her smile a smile that lights up the world and he’s continually in awe and smitten by her.
Let’s just say, I’m just itching for their wedding next summer!!
Enjoy this look into my time with them, and leave them some love to celebrate this season of their lives<3
